Coaxial Cable Tests
Upon seeing some unexplained voltage discrepancies in my receiving arrays I traced it down to varying characteristics of 75 ohm RG-6 type coaxial cable.
The following table shows the results of a few tests using an N2PK Vector network analyzer.
The tests were measuring the input impedance of the approximate 35 foot lengths of cable with the load at the other end.
Comm=good Commscope double shield
Steren=cheap single shield
Carol= cheap Home depot single shield
Lowes = not so cheap quad shield, it really measures CHEAP!!!
